QUAD90 is the new project from vocalists Amelia Lironi and Naomi Mackay. The duo met at Riverside Music College and started working on music together at university. They have a unique disco-funk sound, think Chic if they were produced by Matin Hannett on Ze Records.
Their debut single Le Blank was released May 2023 on an extremely limited edition white label 12". Their second single Unequal Division was selected as Single of the Week on BBC Radio Scotland's Afternoon Show. They are in the process of creating their debut album at Green Door Studios with a range of musicians, the album is set for release in 2025.
Snack Mag selected Le Blank as one of the best Scottish singles of 2023; "dancefloor funk with a heavy electronic beat and a joyous sprinkling of house keys – an irresistible slice of attitude in a world all of its own that feels like it should be playing in the world’s coolest nightclub full of the most beautiful freaks."
