Peter Capaldi has just released his new digital single Sweet Illusions - available to buy from our online store for just £1. It is the latest track from the upcoming album of the same name. The full album is released on 28 March 2025 on vinyl, CD and digital.
Sweet Illusions is produced by the legendary Dr Robert of The Blow Monkeys. The 11 track album sparkles with humour, nostalgia and melancholy. It is a delightful nod to Glasgow’s thriving 80s music scene, where Peter got his start fronting punk band The Dreamboys. Those lucky enough to witness his recent secret gig in Glasgow will attest to how charming these tracks are – hilarious one moment and heart wrenching the next.
The new single follows the release of Bin Night in September and Is It Today in November. The album is released on three shades of vinyl: Red, Black and Milk White (this colour is exclusive to LNFG members!) manufactured at Scotland’s only pressing plant Seabass Vinyl.
