Description

Album will be released on 30/05/25 on LNFG Cartel's imprint.

From Liverpool to Leith is the debut album from singer songwriter SheBeat.

A new lo-Fi Scottish Indie Pop classic. This record is from the heart, a real Leith lovechild. Ten years of storytelling recorded with musical pals from across the world and producer Ian White (Factory Records, The Wendys).

"Loveable Lo-Fi pop" Vic Galloway (BBC Scotland)
"Moody, sixties, really cool" Zoë Howe (Author, broadcaster)
"Super-infectious pop and I love it" Jill O'Sullivan (BBC Scotland, Jill Lorean)
"Multi-talented" Roddy Hart (BBC Scotland)
"Great Songs" Billy Butler (BBC Merseyside)

Somehow in the gaps of their busy lives, this artist and producer wife and husband team have put together a fantastic collection of songs for this debut long player from the Liverpool singer songwriter, now based in Leith.

The songs are carefully curated from the SheBeat catalogue, new recordings together with some reworked tracks, along with a new song Whether.

The cover art is a photo of an early Cavern gig in Liverpool taken by friend Tequila Carter. The physical vinyl and CD reverse side artwork features a new photo from Leith Depot taken by friend Trevor Pake. Both photos are taken at legendary music venues which felt like the perfect illustration of the album title. The vinyl and CD label artwork features a cool illustration by SheBeat's sister, Victoria Galitzine.

The record is very much made in Scotland, produced at home in Leith and pressed at Seabass Vinyl in East Lothian.

Lyrics information included with both variants of the album.
