Last Night From Glasgow is thrilled to bring you the brand new album from Pearl Charles in 6 June 2025. Pearl Charles is a singer-songwriter based in Joshua Tree, California. Her sound weaves together elements of disco, rock n roll, country and folk – creating her unique, spellbinding flavour of indie-pop.
Produced by Lewis Pesacov and mixed by Michael Rault, Desert Queen finds Pearl Charles in stunning form. Lush, Stax-like arrangements support her trademark rock solid songwriting, making this gorgeous record an essential for 2025. The new album is released in early summer, following recent singles Step Too Far and Middle Of The Night.
In 2018, Pearl released debut album, Sleepless Dreamer, which Rough Trade described as "the best country pop we've heard in years" and prompted Buzzfeed to describe her as "a modern June Carter meets Lana Del Rey." With the release of the 2021 follow up, Magic Mirror and subsequent singles, Pearl continued to develop her own cosmic vision.
Last Night From Glasgow release the European editions of Desert Queen while Pearl’s own label Taurus Rising Records will handle the North American editions. European vinyl editions are pressed on three shades of vinyl at Seabass in Scotland with a special bonus track.
