The Blue Aeroplanes are an English rock band from Bristol, formed in 1981. Last Night From Glasgow helped release 2023 album Culture Gun after reissuing their 1990 album Swagger in 2022.
Culture Gun came together in 2018 but the band were faced with the unexpected obstacles and it wasn't completed until 2022. The line up is mostly the same as on the band's 2017 album Welcome, Stranger! but features the return of long-time guitarist Rodney Allen.
The new album is more politically engaged than previous work, addressing a range of grievances from Brexit to the Anthropocene era, as well as more personal subject matter.
