Indie band wojtek the bear formed in Glasgow in early 2016 and released their debut album a talent for being unreasonable in 2018 and album heaven by the backdoor in 2021. Their third studio album shaking hands with the NME is out in April 2024 and produced by Stephen Street, who has worked with Blur, New Order and The Smiths.
They have been featured by Lauren Laverne, Tom Robinson (BBC 6Music), Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), Vic Galloway, Roddy Hart, The Afternoon Show (BBC Radio Scotland), John Kennedy & Gordon Smart (Radio X), KEXP.
They have featured at numerous festivals across the UK and Europe and appeared at Belle & Sebastian’s Boaty Weekender festival in Barcelona in 2019 alongside the likes of Teenage Fanclub, Mogwai, Yo La Tengo & Camera Obscura.
