The Filthy Tongues are alternative rock group from Edinburgh. Last Night From Glasgow released the band's album In These Dark Places in January 2023. The album is the third chapter in a trilogy based on Scotland's capital following albums Jacob's Ladder (2016) and Back To Hell (2018). All three albums received rave reviews, solidifying the band's legacy as a unique force in the Scottish music scene.
In Autumn 2023, Black Valentine, a Filthy Tongues compilation album was released on vinyl. The album celebrate the recent success of the band and features their best work so far plus two brand new songs.
The band are Martin Metcalfe, Derek Kelly and Fin Wilson, all previous members of Goodbye Mr MacKenzie and Angelfish. The band released two albums as Isa & the Filthy Tongues with frontwoman Stacey Chavis before becoming the trio known as The Filthy Tongues
