Louise Connell is a singer-songwriter from Airdrie, near Glasgow. Over the course of two critically-acclaimed albums, she has earned a formidable reputation as an outstanding writer with a knack for framing intelligent, literate lyrics in haunting and beautiful melodies.
Having received positive press for her debut album, Straw Woman (2016), she followed it up with an epic double album, Squall Echo Rale in 2019. Like its predecessor it was Album Of The Week on several Radio Scotland programmes and the album was named as one of the Albums Of The Year on BBC Scotland. Last Night From Glasgow released EP of singles The Truth That I Suppose I Always Knew in 2022 and an EP of covers Minor Expectations in 2023. Louise will release her upcoming album with Last Night From Glasgow in 2024.
