説明
Bela and The Lugosis are a mysterious Studio Project, mainly nocturnal and rumour has it, pale looking souls. Pulled together by some modern day ‘Bram Stoker’ and holed up in Green Door Studios, Glasgow. Their new material International Radio Star’ EP, released via LNFG Introducing on 16 January 2026 is a precursor to an Album later in the 2026.
With their roots in 60’and 70’s Glam Rock, 80’s Goth and elements of Post Punk they are not scared to delve into the darker side of life. The Title track ‘International Radio Star’ suggests that this neo Goth Glam Punk Band want to break cover and become International Radio Stars.
Other songs on the EP are:
'Dreams In Pale Blue' is inspired by the Blue Buddha ‘Akshobhya’ appearing in a dream. Akshobhya embodies mirror like wisdom – a profound insight that reflects reality as it is, without distortion – transforming anger.
‘Swimming’ in the vampire world water represents life, spiritual cleansing and purity making it an anathema to the unclean, undead vampire. However, the Lugosi’s do appreciate beauty and have ‘her pictures on the wall, doing the crawl’.
‘Hartwoodhill’ suggests the long-lost Psychiatric hospital has some hidden secrets with no remorse or repentance in evidence.
‘Embrace Whilst Souls Collide’, is a song about embracing life with gratitude for everything, embracing other souls. The undead have a longing for life…
‘Hartwoodhill Revisited’ in a break from the norm is a stripped back, minimalist acoustic look at the song that is ‘Hartwoodhill’.
Bela and The Lugosis are John Lugosis, Gregor Lugosis, Sam Lugosis, Derek Lugosis with visual artistic support from Willy Lugosis.
